Teledata picks ups MSAN win with ICE in Costa Rica

Teledata Networks has been awarded a $12.5M project from ICE, Costa Rica’s National Electricity and Telecommunications company.

The contract covers the supply of BroadAccess multiservice access systems supporting a variety of services, from TDM to IP. The system’s wide range of network technologies saves the operator costly infrastructure, as it essentially comprises several systems in one. The systems will be installed all over Costa Rica, and will deliver services to both business and residential areas.

Costa Rica is currently undergoing a period of heavy investments in broadband and optical infrastructure, and heading towards NGN and the deployment of softswitches. Teledata Networks fits in perfectly with this trend, as its forte is ensuring seamless migration between TDM and IP technologies, with advanced features such as VoIP and Triple Play.

“This important contract resulted from our close work with ICE and tuning our technology to their needs,” said Eran Ziv, President & CEO, Teledata Networks. “Our advanced network solutions, reliability, ease of installation and operation, and of course, the trust and close relationship we built with the customer, were key factors in reaching this achievement.”
