Telekom Slovenia selects Iskratel/Telsima for WiMAX network

Iskratel in consortium with Telsima Corporation, a global leader in WiMAX systems, announced today that Telekom Slovenia chosen Iskratel’s SI3000 Wimax solution which has integrated Tesima WiMAX technologies, by as the infrastructure solution for its nationwide WiMAX network.

Telekom Slovenia is the country’s leading national and international telecommunications provider of fixed and mobile services for residential, enterprise and service provider customers. Slovenia’s broadband access market leader provides digital telephony, Internet access and video services to its Slovenia OnLine (SiOL) customers. Telekom Slovenia is expanding its broadband offering by adding a nationwide WiMAX network using its 42 MHz license in the 3.5 GHz band. Network integration services will be provided by Iskratel.
