There remain a few operators that have not reported for 2Q12, but early estimates indicate that Asia Pacific finally edged out EMEA for the most Telco TV subscribers in 2Q12.
Global Telco TV subscribers are estimated at 67.2 million, representing 5.3% growth over 1Q12 and 32% growth year-over-year.
Overall net additions were down considerable from 1Q12, dropping 35%, with EMEA experiencing the largest drop at 40%.
The Asia Pacific region accounted for the largest portion of net adds (65%) – in line with the previous quarter and with the majority of additions found in China.
